Snapchat is one of the most favorite apps of teens, and it has replaced the other social media providers, in being the most used ones.
The streak feature was unique when it comes with Snapchat. I still know when in 2018 I started using Snapchat, and there were no people when I started using it.
During that time, Instagram was getting very popular and those people who have used Instagram too much and got bored like me, started using Snapchat, to explore the new social media features.
Many have started using Snapchat because of their unique filters, and at this time as I remember, TikTok was also getting noticed internationally.
Why it’s a useless app?
Though Snapchat was very rich in features, it was still the most useless app ever.
- Streaks:
You make streaks for 1000 days so that you can become cool in front of your friends, you’ve got your whole snap map full of people, again a thing to brag about to our friends. (if you’re in high school or college, but not after that).
I have also done the same thing, and yet now I see back then, I feel that it’s a waste of time to make streaks. - Filters:
—It’s likewise bad to utilize Snapchat for filters, it makes you look thin and more pleasant, and it’s fake. (Mirror is real.)
— However, it’s not the point that Snapchat is advancing fairness and discrimination, they are simply giving what individuals of this age need.
— They are simply satisfying the necessities of teens, it doesn’t make any difference, since that is the thing that the present age needs, to get acknowledgment from the world and to turn into a sensation.
Personal Experience
The fun fact is that I never made a streak of more than 100 days. Yes, my longest streak was for day 89 then I quit Snapchat. But that doesn’t mean my journey with Snapchat ended.
I take a break of 1 month, and when my old account got deleted, I made a new account, increases the score by more than 30,000, and then again quit. You may be thinking that I’m such a fool because for many people streaks matter very much.
But for me, it was just kind of time pass, that may not sound good, but I’m so bored seeing those blank snaps daily. We have all got to agree that we don’t have a special moment every day, but because streaks get broken if we didn’t send snap daily, then we have to do it.
