Virat Kohli: A Marvellous Player but unfortunately the adversest captain

Our Cricket Darling was once considered a viable successor to Captain Cool (M.S. Dhoni) as India’s skipper becomes the most unlucky of captains.
Captain Kohli may have had a high victory rate, but in the end, only the cup or trophy matters. In fact, Kohli has the worst luck of all the Indian captains.
On top of all of that, his team is one of the strongest in the world, so winning a cup or trophy should have been an easy task for him. This is especially disappointing given how well Captain Dhoni did with a team that was far from elite when he played, and how many ICC limited-overs trophies he won during his tenure.
Fortunately, he’s outscoring Dhoni in terms of winning percentage (10 percent more). That doesn’t change the fact that his squad usually choked in the last moments, particularly in the semi-finals and finals.
He is still the third most successful Captain for India, after Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Mohammad Azharuddin.
Effect of Captaincy on his form
Everyone knows that Captaincy isn’t your average job, and it takes a special set of abilities and leadership abilities to succeed.
While everyone is aware of Kohli’s reputation as an aggressive captain, which is admirable, but the gentleman’s game of cricket necessitates a calm head, which is something our Lion lacks.
This led to destroy his form in the important matches, where we need him to roar with his bat and make the bowlers cry but that isn’t the case anymore.
It’s okay if he can’t do the Captaincy, even the God of Cricket was not that good in Captaincy, but surely Virat can do much more with his bat.
Lost Opportunities
IPL: His successor is the most successful Captain in the IPL history, even better than his predecessor, Kohli’s RCB cabinet of Trophies is empty, while Rohit’s MI is the five-time IPL winner.
2019 WC: After the heroic performance, they lost in Semi-finals, which make fans even sadder and Kohli a bit sadder because of his performance.
WTC Loss: After the marvelous performance by the Indian players, they lost in the final to the Black Caps. This makes things even tougher for our unlucky Captain.
Realizing his potential
That is what happened in his quarantine in UAE before the start of IPL. Virat Kohli revealed through social media on Thursday, 16 September, that he will step down as India captain in the shortest format after the T20 World Cup later this year.
Today, on September 19, he announces that it is his last season as the RCB captain. It’s very sad for RCB fans, but it may bring good results for him because now he can practice more than ever.
Rohit Sharma, who in my perception, is more worthy of Captaincy due to his good record in IPL and a calm personality like Dhoni.
A wise decision by Virat, which I may think is inspired by his predecessor Dhoni when he announces giving Captaincy to him so that he can be able to do arrangements for the 2019 World Cup.
Virat can now focus more on batting while Rohit will do all the chores of Captaincy and together they can be able to win India its third World Cup in 2024.
