75
years, and all I can say is Happy Independence Day, but that will be very ironic, so I thought of writing this blog.
You all may have heard about the rivalry about India and Pakistan, well you may think of them as sworn enemies, but that was not the case 75 years ago.
Before 1947, they were brothers and sisters to each other, that land once called Bharat Mata. Though people may get offended if I say so to Pakistan now, but logically it's still our mother, because we created border not the nature or land.
On that land, many of Hindu and Sikh epics happened and there are many important temples and especially gurdwaras are there in Pakistan, namely
— Gurdwara Janam Asthan — Nankana Sahib
— Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Hasan Abdal
— Gurdwara Dera Sahib — Kirtarpur
— shrine of the Goddess Hinglaj
Not just the religious things, our faces, and expression are all same, we all belong to Indian Subcontinent. That's why mostly Pakistani people say in foreign countries that they are from India, they say that because Pakistan doesn't have a good reputation internationally because of Islamic terrorism and crimes against minority.
I don't have any intention to start a debate of which country is best because you'll find it on news too. India also does sometimes go against minority, but Pakistan goes too far when it comes to crimes against minority.
So what are the advantages if partition never happened:
— Pakistan land will never become a hub of terrorism.
— One of the best advantages of an undivided India would have been the Indian army, as it would have been one of the strongest armies in the world.
— RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) and ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) would have worked together for the safety of the nation.
— Kashmir issue perhaps wouldn’t have existed.
— The Indian cricket team would have more powerful bowlers and skilled batsmen and dominate in the international tournament.
— A secular, undivided India would protect minority right to practise their religion and defend them from sectarian as well as communal violence.
— If India was undivided, less religious violence would have taken place and no politician would have been able to say, “Go to Pakistan.”
— Instead of spending a huge amount of money on the defence sector, India would have focused more on improving quality of life, health, and education if the country had been still undivided.
— Undivided India would be connected to Afghanistan, Iran, and Middle Asian Countries, thus greatly benefitted from it because of huge oil reserves in Middle Asia.
— an undivided India would have been the extended maritime borders.
I can go more long about the advantages like more land for industrialization, less underdeveloped areas, bigger country, more diversity, excess tourism revenue and most importantly no terror attacks.
You all may, should know that here I'm also talking about East Pakistan, I thought to remind you because many just thought that I'm only talking about Pakistan, but I'm also talking about Bangladesh too.
Here, I should complete this because it will be too long if I start telling you about the advantages of having Bangladesh in India too.
THANK YOU!
